Acne natural solutions, how to choose?

Natural Herbal Solutions for Acne

Acne is a benign skin disorder that is very common in adolescents but also affects adults. This skin disease manifests itself in different forms of pimples generally centered on the face, neck and back. It is important to note that acne represents the first reason for consultation with the dermatologist (1).

People who suffer from moderate to severe acne often feel bad about themselves and may suffer from psychological disorders such as depression. This is why when you suffer from acne, it is important to treat yourself and ideally to consult a dermatologist who will offer a suitable treatment.

You want to know more about your acne and treat your pimples with a natural solution such as Regulatory Complex ? This article is made for you.

Understanding the mechanism of acne

Acne occurs at the level of the pilosebaceous follicles which have the role of guaranteeing the production of sebum. A hair is linked to a sebaceous gland generating sebum. Sebum has an oily texture and helps protect and moisturize the skin. When we have acne, our body overproduces sebum. See our natural acne remedies and treatments.

When your skin overproduces sebum then it spreads to the surface of the skin, making the skin oily and shiny. This is then hyper seborrhea. Too much sebum will then block the pores of the skin, an infection will result and the pimple will turn black or white. Sebum circulates via the hair canal (from the base of the hair to the skin). There are different degrees of acne, more or less severe. Generally, thejuvenile acne begins at puberty and reconciles retentional and superficial inflammatory lesions.

First degree: so-called retentional acne

The hyperproduction of sebum by the sebaceous glands leads to oily or even shiny skin. The pores of the skin are blocked and the sebum is blocked. Thus, blackheads (open comedones), white spots (closed comedones) and microcysts form on the skin.

The open comedo

In dermatological jargon, a blackhead is an open comedo. This is a small cap of keratin which obstructs the orifice of the sebaceous glands and turns black on contact with air. It is a phenomenon of oxidation which gives the “horny plug” (real name of the blackhead) this unfavorable appearance.

We strongly advise against squeezing the blackheads yourself as this risks causing secondary infection. A blackhead can measure between 1 and 3 mm in diameter. Too hard to resist getting that blackhead out? The solution is to dilate and unclog the pores.

A simple method for this: boil water in a saucepan and place your face over it for 15 minutes. Place a towel on your head to control the steam that is released. You will then be able to extract the blackhead delicately and above all without forcing.

The closed comedo

Regarding the white spot (also called closed comedo), it is an accumulation of sebum and keratinocytes. They measure 2 to 3 mm in diameter and are considered small papules. We also do not pierce the whiteheads, this only increases the proliferation of spots. But if you can't resist, do it properly and disinfect afterwards. At this stage, the person affected by acne does not have inflammatory lesions.

Finally, microcysts are the result of blocked pores without inflammation or infection. The plug blocking the pore remains under the skin and causes an effect of irregularity in the skin texture.

There are also microcystic acnes, which means that the imperfections remain in the microcyst stage and do not transform into red spots, pustules or white spots. As with blackheads and pimples, it is not recommended to remove them. We advise you to exfoliate your skin to refine the texture and cleanse in order to remove the blockage responsible for the imperfection.

You will notice the appearance of white spots, don't panic! The disencrustation process will in fact bring out the plug which is obstructing the pore and transform into a papule or pustule before disappearing.

Second degree: superficial inflammatory acne

When you suffer from superficial inflammatory acne, it is because the skin has been infected by the bacteria “propionibacterium acnes”. This bacteria naturally present in the body tends to develop when the pores of the skin are blocked. In this case, there are two types of lesions:

  • Papules are red and sometimes painful inflammatory lesions. They generally arise from a microcyst. They most often measure between 1 and 5 mm in diameter.
  • Pustules are papules that are infected, there is pus in the center (white/yellow liquid).

In the case most severe acne, inflammatory acne manifests itself as nodules on the skin. These are deep lesions of at least 5 mm in diameter which are often painful and can turn into abscesses. Nodules are the acne lesions that will leave the most scars.

Different causes and solutions to acne

Acne in adolescence looking for solutions

Acne is a very common condition among adolescents. Why do some people only have 1 or 2 spots occasionally while others have their face ravaged by severe acne that leaves ugly scars? Here are some explanations:

heredity

If the parents themselves suffered from acne when they were young, there is a great risk that their children will also be affected by acne. Acne is due to an increase in male hormones which causes hyper-seborrhea. Sebum is produced by the sebaceous glands under the action of androgens. There is therefore a genetic factor which predetermines the condition of our skin.

Precocity

The younger acne begins, the greater the risk of having severe acne. This type of early acne is also much more difficult to treat.

The development of acne:

Different elements make it possible to diagnose severe acne: acne that resists treatment, a relapse when treatment stops or acne that persists beyond the age of 25, we then speak of adult acne.

Excess hormones in the blood

In women, acne can sometimes be explained by an unsuitable contraceptive pill or an endocrine disease.

Acne, a reaction to stress

Concerns in your personal life, an exam or a job interview, anything that causes stress can cause acne spots to appear.

A side effect of taking a medication

Certain medications promote the development of pimples, do not hesitate to talk to your doctor.

Choosing a natural solution suitable for acne-prone skin to prevent scars

Acne natural solutions Akno NaturaWhen you suffer from acne, it is important to adopt a routine adapted to your skin. First of all, we advise you to clean your skin thoroughly morning and evening with a suitable cleanser, with a gentle and non-comedogenic pH (cleansing gel or foam). In the evening, it is very important to remove your makeup, before cleaning your face.

In the evening after removing make-up, we recommend using the Akno Natura Foaming Regulatory Complex. This foaming treatment helps both cleanse the skin while treating acne.

100% natural, this treatment is formulated with plants. It is used with a small loofah sponge provided. The action of the loofah will help unclog the pores and purify the epidermis. This cleansing treatment is bactericidal, it allows both to remove various imperfections (pimples, blackheads) thanks to its antibacterial action, and to prevent them by maintaining clear and clean skin.

Furthermore, this natural solution will help make acne scars disappear for two reasons. Formulated with Carapa procera oil, the Regulatory Complex will stimulate cell renewal and treat inflammation of the epidermis. Thanks to the'slightly exfoliating action of the loofah, micro-dermabrasion will be carried out to make the skin smoother.

The different treatments and natural solutions for acne

Natural solutions to overcome acne

Fresh aloe vera for acneWe advise you to first consider natural solutions to treat your acne. Clay is often used to purify the skin with imperfections. It is used as a mask once a week. Clay powder mixed with water makes a perfect paste for mask application. Green clay is a natural solution recommended for acne care, it helps limit excess sebum and purify the skin (2).

Aloe vera gel is a natural solution also often used to treat retentional acne.

In case of white spots or pustules, you can use tea tree essential oil which will disinfect the wound.

Acne can also be treated from the inside. For example, you can eat foods rich in vitamin A (carrots, seaweed, citrus fruits). Doing detoxifying cures based on burdock or wild pansy also helps fight acne.

If no natural solution works for your acne, a chemical alternative can be suggested by a dermatologist.

Chemical care for retentional and inflammatory acne

To treat retentional acne, the chemical treatments often prescribed by dermatologists are local treatments. Benzoyl peroxide-based creams are often used to prevent the appearance of pimples, while vitamin A derivatives (topical retinoids) help eliminate microcysts and blackheads.

In the case of inflammatory acne, dermatologists also prescribe creams based on benzoyl peroxide and retinoids, but they are generally combined with oral treatment (zinc, antibiotics, or in very severe cases isotretinoin). These treatments can cause many side effects and should therefore not be taken lightly.

Acne natural solutions for acne scars and marks

Acne scars and spots

The different acne spots tend to leave more or less significant scars on the skin. The more inflamed and deeper the lesions are, the more they will leave marks on the skin. See Natural Remedies for Acne Scars.

The scars are generally red then leave more or less brown marks depending on the color of the skin (hyper-pigmented) or on the contrary leave light spots (depigmented).

Severe acne, in addition to leaving marks, can leave “holes” (atrophic scars) or conversely “reliefs” (hypertrophic scars). Atrophic scars are the result of the disappearance of cells and fibers while hypertrophic scars result from too many cells present during the healing process.

Natural solution to treat acne scars

There are different solutions to eliminate residual acne marks. Carapa procera oil is a natural solution recommended for making acne scars disappear. It helps stimulate cell renewal. THE Akno Natura Regulatory Complex is composed of Carapa procera oil, an excellent treatment against acne scars. Aloe vera gel also has restorative and soothing properties to fade acne scars.

In the case of deep scars, treatments recommended by a dermatologist may be considered. Chemical dermabrasion or peeling: it is a local treatment with fruit acids (commercially available) or vitamin A (prescribed by a dermatologist) which helps stimulate cell renewal.

Be careful, this can sometimes be too strong or even irritating for sensitive skin. Note that these treatments are photosensitizing. In cases of severe acne scarring, dermatologists may suggest performing mechanical dermabrasion, laser treatments, or in some rare cases surgical treatments. It is the dermatologist who will suggest this solution if chemical treatments have not been sufficient.

You understand, don't let your acne get worse to the point where you will have to resort to heavy chemical treatments, sometimes with painful side effects. So be vigilant every day. Follow our hygiene advice, treat your acne as soon as it appears, or regularly to prevent major attacks. Save yourself scars and chemical treatments.
